Checked three times in order to get the "OK" Quality Seal
- Contract: The companies commit themselves to solely sell merchandise which meets the requirements of the "OK" Quality Seal.
- Test: Each individual unit of production (lot, batch) – normally 150’000 pieces – has to be tested before being released for sale. Four independent laboratories in different countries are currently testing for the "OK" Quality Seal. The companies hand over the test results to the Association for the Condom Quality Seal before the condoms reach the market. The association determines if the condoms meet the requirements.
- Sampling: In Switzerland the association checks on the basis of the batch lists if there is unreported merchandise on the market. At the same time samples are taken out of every batch and subsequently tested.
This system of triple control guarantees a constant high quality level. 90% of the condoms sold in Switzerland bear the "OK" Quality Seal.
